GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary purpose of the job is to provide licensed nursing care to residents on assigned unit in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor the care delegated to the Certified Nursing Assistant to provide
- Provide hands on care as necessary
- Pass medications and provide treatments
- Document resident status, clinical care, and interactions in the medical record
- Provide education to the resident and family
- Coordinate care with the Interdisciplinary team
- Provide updates regarding resident status to the health care providers
- Participate in orientation and training to employees and students
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing
- Communicate updates regarding resident status to family members
- All other duties & responsibilities as assigned
- Possess an unencumbered, active Nursing License in the State of Illinois.
- One year experience in post-acute or long-term care desired.
- Must have knowledge of a computer-based documentation system; preferably PCC
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English Language.
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
- Must pass a pre-employment physical
